Your Time

Back to all

The Your Time programme was developed with one aim in mind: to empower girls with the confidence to become leaders in sport. Created in partnership with the Department for Education, the programme is fully-funded for all state secondary schools in England.

Despite the recent breakthrough in female sport (think the Lionesses and Red Roses) there is still a disparity between girls and boys when it comes to participating in competitive sport and sports leadership opportunities.

Through a combination of e-learning, peer-led support and practical learning, Your Time is designed to support girls and young women to overcome these barriers. Thanks to a first-of-its-kind, modular learning programme, leaders develop their skills through innovative and inclusive e-learning solutions that include personalised avatars. They then go on to showcase these skills by planning and hosting a sporting event aimed at encouraging other girls in their school community to participate.

Beyond this, many of the Your Time Leaders go on to host multiple events, establish lunchtime or after-school sports clubs for girls, or volunteer in sporting environments in their local communities.

The programme was created in partnership with the Department for Education and is fully-funded for all state secondary schools in England. To take part, the leaders must be in years 9-11, and be able to dedicate 30-60 minutes per module, plus delivery time. This can be done alongside the regular PE and sporting curriculum and leaders will be awarded a certificate upon completion of the programme.

Over 2,200 girls have already benefitted from the Your Time programme, but we know we still need more girls in sport.

This is how we do it, together.

Our Your Time Leaders are the best at explaining what the programme has meant to them. Take a look at our interactive impact page to hear directly from them, or simply book a call with our Project Lead to sign your school up:
