the Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition
Leadership that have not received training for these
qualifications previously, and/or tutors that have no experience of
delivering these courses since they became Level 3 qualifications
in September 2010.
Please note that anybody can attend the training
but to be the main course Tutor/Assessor, you need
to be a summer-qualified Mountain Leader or Walking Group Leader.
Your learners must be aged 17 years or older to register for the
qualification, and aged 18 years or older before they can complete
the qualifications. (Tutors may have previously been trained at or
delivered courses for DWL/BEL at Level 2.)
