Including disabled learners in your Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications

Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications can be a gateway to volunteering, further education or employment opportunities. They are an important building block in the development of healthier, active and safer communities. One of the Sports Leaders UK core values is being inclusive by increasing access to training and awards for as many people as possible. Therefore this resource has been written to help tutors to feel more confident in adopting an inclusive approach to delivering leadership courses.

The aim of this resource is to support new and existing tutors with practical strategies and ideas on how to differentiate and deliver the core elements of a Sports Leaders UK course to disabled people, of all ages and abilities. The resource will allow you to review how you currently deliver sports leadership, whilst providing ideas on how you can adapt and vary your approach to allow your leaders to reach their full potential.
