Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership (DL)

This is a full day workshop that focuses on the principles of teaching leadership through dance. You will sample both theory and practical activities that explore leadership through musical awareness, stimulus development and the creation of movement phrases/dance motif.

The Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership is suitable for both brand new tutors, and those who have had experience of Sports Leaders UK Tutor Training and/or delivering our awards and qualifications in the past. Tutors of the Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership must have some dance specific experience but it is not necessary to be a dance specialist. Please be aware that if you are already a trained tutor for our Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership, then it is not compulsory that you attend the training for dance leadership as the philosophy of teaching leadership remains the same.
