Tutor Training Dates & Venues

There are 40 Tutor Training days throughout the UK during 2011/2012.  Each and every one of these will include workshops, briefings and seminars covering both the Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership (SL1), Level 2 Award in Sports Leadership (SL2) and Level 2 Award in Community Sports Leadership (CSL2).

Additionally, there is also the opportunity to attend other training days and half days which are run as strand workshops and can be applied for separately. A Refresher half-day training for experienced tutors can be accessed at 25 of the 40 training days. If your centre requires training specifically for the Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership (DL1) or the Level 2 Award in Dance Leadership (DL2) then 15 full day training days can be accessed around the UK. Alternatively, if the centre requires training in the Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership (HSL3) a half-day of training can be accessed on 15 training days around the UK.

Please note that it is not possible to attend the Level 1 Award in Sports Leadership and the Level 2 Award in Sports Leadership training AND the Refresher, Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership and the Level 2 Award in Dance Leadership or Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports Leadership training on the same day.

Sports Leaders UK also offers training on the Level 3 Award in Day Walk Leadership (DWL3) and the Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition Leadership (BEL3). Ten National Tutor Training days are held for these qualifications around the UK.

New for 2011/12 are four CPD training days for the Level 3 Award in Day Walk Leadership (DWL3) and Level 3 Certificate in Basic Expedition Leadership (BEL3).
