Tutor Training
Sports Leaders UK are
licensed by the Physical Education Professional Development Board
as quality providers of Continuous Professional Development
(CPD).
In order to help organisations deliver the Sports Leaders UK
qualifications, Tutor Training days are held at a number of
different locations around the UK. These one-day programmes provide
information and ideas to aid the understanding and delivery of the
qualifications.
The Tutor Training day gives new tutors the opportunity to gain
an insight into the content, assessment and administration
procedures of the qualifications that are most relevant to them. It
is also an opportunity for experienced tutors to gain new examples
of good practice, and share their own experiences.
Every National Tutor Training day consists of a core timetable
(Level 1 Award in Sports
Leadership, Level 2 Award in Sports
Leadership and Level 2 Award in Community
Sports Leadership) of different workshops, briefings and
seminars delivered through theory and practically based sessions.
In addition, a number of strands (Level 1 Award in Dance Leadership, Level 3 Certificate in Higher Sports
Leadership, Refresher) are offered at
different venues. A key aim is to inspire and motivate tutors to
embark upon the delivery of a Sports Leaders UK qualification.
