Charlotte Carey - Table tennis player

Charlotte has completed the Level 2 Award in Sports LeadershipCharlotte Carey

She is the Welsh no 1 table tennis player and will be participating in the European Championships where she won a medal last year in junior girls’ doubles, before heading to the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Charlotte was a gold ambassador in Blaenau Gwent before making the decision to play table tennis full time, but is still involved in the programme and stays in touch with the sports leaders and coaches.

She became a young ambassador because she wanted to encourage others to share her passion for sport – all sports, not only table tennis. She grasped the opportunity to help people become more active and getting more involved in her local community. She attests that the award also looks good on her CV!

Her goal is to add another medal to the seven she has already won.
