How Does It Work?
The Teaching Values Through Leadership
resource will be included as a free added extra on the Sports
Leaders UK Qualifications That Change Lives CD-ROM Tutor
Resource.
Delivery
There are no application forms to complete - simply deliver the
content of the resource to your learners when it is
appropriate.
You may choose to deliver this resource as a stand-alone
course that will have links with, but run outside of, other
Sports Leaders UK awards and qualifications.
Alternatively the games, activities and ideas in this resource
can be incorporated into an existing Sports Leaders UK course,
helping to highlight and enhance the combined values and the link
between Sports Leaders and London 2012.
To achieve the planned benefits and outcomes, Sports Leaders UK
suggests that this resource could be delivered over a period of
approximately three to four hours.
Content
The resource has been written into three sections of work:
- Values of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Sports Leaders
UK.
- Demonstrating the values through leadership activities.
- Delivering values across your organisation - Walking the
Talk.
Completion
It will be up to the tutor to decide when each learner has
completed their training. This decision will be based on the
learner's understanding of the values, and how successful they are
working towards them whilst leading activities.
At the end of the course the tutor will award
learners with a special certificate to mark their success.
