Unit 2 - Communication and motivation skills for leading a literacy activity
Learning Outcome 1 - Use verbal and non-verbal communication within a literacy context.
Learning Outcome 2 - Communicate with groups and individuals involved in literacy activities.
Learning Outcome 3 - Use a range of support materials to communicate in a literacy context.
Learning Outcome 4 - Use a variety of motivational methods whilst leading a literacy activity.

Unit 3 - Delivering literacy across the curriculum
Learning Outcome 1 - Understand the basic principles of literacy.
Learning Outcome 2 - Understand the different uses of literacy throughout the curriculum.
Learning Outcome 3 - Plan and deliver a literacy activity within a specific subject area.

Unit 4 - Compendium of literacy games and activities
Learning Outcome 1 - Select activities which are suitable for the age and ability of participants.
Learning Outcome 2 - Ensure that all participants are fully involved in the activity.
Learning Outcome 3 - Deliver the activity in a safe and stimulating way.
Learning Outcome 4 - Adapt the activity as necessary so that everyone can achieve.

Unit 5 - Organise and run a literacy event
Learning Outcome 1 - Plan and prepare a literacy event.
Learning Outcome 2 - Run a literacy event working both individually and as part of a team.
Learning Outcome 3 - Publicise the event.
Learning Outcome 4 - Evaluate the event and use this to inform future planning and delivery.

Unit 6 - Demonstration of leadership skills
Learning Outcome 1 - Plan, deliver and evaluate a number of literacy sessions, including at least two different literacy activities, for your peer group or lower age children.
