Young Leader Award & Pass It On II DVDs

Sports Leaders UK are delighted to be able to offer two new DVDs.

The Young Leader Award is now being used in schools to address key whole-school issues including bullying, inclusion, student leadership and student voice.

The award is a programme of leadership training for young people between the ages of nine and 13 that promotes them working with younger children, teaching leadership skills through a range of games and activities. It has been designed for use in a variety of different delivery settings, including primary and secondary schools, uniformed organisations and sports and community groups, and is seen as a fundamental step towards achieving Government priorities, e.g. 'Every Child Matters' and the five hour PE and Sport target.

The Young Leader Award and Application Form accompanying the DVD will give additional information about the registration process.

The Pass It On DVD lets the people who have completed our awards and qualifications do the talking... The main film sequence 'Pass It On - DVD 2' covers dance, basic expedition leadership, and the involvement of adults and people with learning difficulties - building on the success of the original Pass It On DVD which urges Sports Leaders to take time out to 'pass on' their experience, and inspire others to get active and make positive lifestyle choices. The main DVD sequence is accompanied by three short profiles: children and young people, adult learners, general summary.
